MTN Commence 4G LTE Service In Nigeria

MTN Nigeria has announced it is commencing a trial mode for 4G LTE service in Nigeria through its Subsidiaries Visafone, the Telecommunication giant is test running the service through its Visafone subscribers with 800 MHz band probably to see what becomes the future of the 4G service in the country.

Richard Iweanoge (General Manager, Consumer Marketing, MTN Nigeria) in his words, gave a hint on the benefits of the service:

When we roll out fully, especially with our 2.6 GHz spectrum, the launch will help to enhance customer experience for our over 60 million subscribers, while ensuring greater coverage, access, affordability and ultimately a smart lifestyle for everyone.

Until when this service will be available to all MTN subscribers in Nigeria let’s wait in anticipation and see what the Telco giant has up their sleeve for us.

    I don’t care about their 4G. I never really like or trust MTN. They’re only good at tampering with their subscribers’ accounts. I will only subscribe to that of Airtel or Etisalat when they eventually roll theirs out.
